Laura Eklund

Biography

Laura Eklund’s poetry has been published in many journals, including Pegasus, Switched-On Gutenberg, Southern Women’s Review, Plain Spoke, ABZ, Black Warrior Review, Slipstream, and Trajectory. She also is a well-known painter and has exhibited across the United States and in Europe, representing the United States in the Florence Biennale in 2009. She teaches art history and design at Jefferson Community College and Antonelli College of Art and Design and is affiliated with The Lexington Art League in Lexington, Kentucky and is a member of the Cave Run Arts Association in Morehead, Kentucky.  She resides in Olive Hill, Kentucky with her husband, the poet George Eklund, and their four children.
